Calligraphic inscription
The calligraphic inscription of the Hebrew Birth Plate is entirely written with a free hand by a professional Hebrew calligraphy artist, and therefore the lettering differs slightly with each name or letter combination.
The Hebrew Birth Plate carries the following details that you will be asked to enter during the order process:
- On the top, in Hebrew, one of the following:
"Mazal Tov" or "BSD", the Hebrew Acronym for Besyatah Deshmayah (Aramaic: "With God's Help")
- Hebrew name, in Hebrew letters
- English name, in Latin letters
- Gregorian birth date, in Latin letters
- Jewish birth date including day, month and year, in both Hebrew and Latin letters
In the bottom area of the plate, you may also request the inscription of extra details, like time of birth, weight, measurement, name of the hospital, Godfather (Sandak) or circumciser. In this case, it's better to choose the size Large, as there is more room for extra inscriptions of this kind. |
